As we continue to drive impactful business outcomes, we are looking for a Global Managing Partner to lead our Marriott International partnership across the EMEA region.
About the Client:
Marriott International is a global leader in the hospitality industry, boasting a diverse portfolio of renowned brands. In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee the media strategy for Marriott’s EMEA region, ensuring impactful campaigns that resonate across both biddable and non-biddable channels. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and execute media strategies for a highly respected brand in a dynamic and evolving industry.
Role Overview:
As the Global Managing Partner for Marriott’s EMEA region, you will lead all aspects of media strategy, planning, activation, and performance. You will collaborate with a diverse, high-performing team to deliver integrated media strategies that drive measurable business outcomes. This senior leadership role requires an innovative mindset, deep expertise in media channels, and the ability to manage client relationships with a strategic focus.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Leadership & Relationship Management:
- Serve as the senior point of contact for Marriott’s EMEA leadership, building strong, trust-based relationships.
- Align media strategies with Marriott’s overarching business goals, ensuring measurable impact across all campaigns.
- Act as a strategic advisor on media innovation, audience engagement, and competitive positioning.
Strategic Media Oversight:
- Lead the development of integrated media strategies across both biddable (search, social, programmatic) and non-biddable channels (linear TV, OOH, print, etc.).
- Use data-driven insights to optimise performance and drive results, tailoring campaigns to regional markets while ensuring global brand consistency.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead a cross-functional team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and excellence.
- Mentor and develop talent, cultivating a culture of accountability and performance-driven growth.
- Coordinate with regional teams and offshore resources to ensure seamless campaign execution and alignment.
Financial & Operational Accountability:
- Oversee the client P&L for Marriott EMEA, ensuring financial targets are met while delivering exceptional client value.
- Manage resource allocation efficiently and drive operational excellence.
- Identify opportunities for revenue growth by expanding agency services and deepening client relationships.
Innovation & Thought Leadership:
- Stay ahead of industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure Marriott’s media strategy remains cutting-edge.
- Represent Spark Foundry at industry forums and events, sharing thought leadership and expertise.
- Lead workshops and training sessions to inspire creative thinking and strategic performance.
Skills & Experience:
- Proven senior leadership experience in a global or regional media agency role or similar organisation.
- Extensive expertise in biddable media channels (search, social, programmatic) with a strong understanding of non-biddable channels (linear TV, OOH, print).
- A successful track record of driving results for clients, preferably in the travel, hospitality, or luxury sectors.
- Strong client management and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Financial acumen with experience in managing P&L and driving revenue growth.
- Exceptional leadership and team development abilities, with a focus on mentoring talent.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of engaging stakeholders and delivering impactful presentations.
