The Role Objective
The offline planning manager will be responsible for developing TV and offline media plans for Uber. Where required, guiding and leveraging other team members to develop plans. You will be kickstarting your marketing career by mastering impactful integrated strategies, with opportunity to transition into the dynamic world of digital marketing.
You will be responsible for working closely with our buying partners to develop cost effective in-channel plans, that align to our master strategy. You will also ensure that buying partners are executing the plans as required, and be able to identify and flag potential issues.
You should have 5-7 years of experience in TV and OOH planning; and understand the process from planning to booking to censorship to go live. You should also be familiar with various measurement solutions for offline.
Responsibilities:
Offline media planning and execution
- Develop TV & OOH plan for key campaigns, & facilitate plans for other campaigns by guiding team members where needed.
- Work with external buying partners and internal buying teams to get the right information on buying opportunities and costing.
- Develop best practice plans, backed by informed strategy & reasoning for offline media approaches.
- Present plans and rationale to clients, as part of overall strategic planning responses.
- Work closely with creative agency on asset delivery.
- Work with stakeholders to deliver post campaign results and analysis.
- Contribute to regular competitive insights around offline media usage and trends in Japan market.
Client account management
- Develop strong relationships with offline expert clients, be their go to person for TV/ OOH.
- Lead on relevant sections of client meetings as the offline specialist.
- Keep the client updated on interesting and relevant opportunities to drive market-leading executions for Uber.
People Management
- Work collaboratively to develop the capability, skills and knowledge of our team.
- Work closely with the creative agency to brainstorm the ideas and opportunities that are relevant to brand campaigns/briefs.

Education, skills and behaviours
- 5 to 7 years of direct experience (planning, execution or TV agency side)
- Adaptability and Agility to a fast moving category –think fast, move fast and be proactive with new opportunities
- Fluent in Japanese, comfortable in English
- Proficient MS office skills, with numerical accuracy in developing media plans and handling reports
