OverviewAs a Senior Designer, you’re an original thinker and a skilled craftsperson who brings creative flair and elevated vision to both brand and retail projects for our clients. Working closely with both fellow designers and creative teams, you will report to the Group Creative Director and Head of Art and be responsible for transforming creative concepts into inspiring and effective designs as well as defining and guiding brand principles.
You enjoy working with a larger team but can also work with minimal supervision, multi-task under tight timelines and find pride in problem solving in a fast-paced agency environment. Your curiosity, attention to detail, and expertise in production will be essential as you collaborate with the team to deliver outstanding design solutions.
Responsibilities- Collaborate with the Group Creative Director, Head of Art, Design Team and Creative Teams to translate creative concepts into visually stunning designs for projects which may involve: retail design, brand development, and overall elevation of advertising concepts.
- Collaborate with the cross-functional team on implementation and feasibility to ensure that designs can be successfully implemented in a real-world setting.
- Help to identify client needs and challenges to develop innovative design concepts.
- Develop and define visual language guidelines and create cohesive brand experiences across multiple touchpoints.
- Work closely with the team to ensure brand consistency and adherence to design principles. Guiding teams and more junior designers when needed.
- Apply strong typography, colour theory, art direction (photography) and illustrative skills to create visually impactful designs.
- Solve design problems creatively, finding unique solutions that meet project objectives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging design techniques, continuously improving your design skills.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality designs.
Qualifications- 8+ years of proven experience as a Visual Designer in studio or agency setting.
- A portfolio of completed design projects showcasing a range of projects across both brand and retail. Work should reflect exceptional craft, design flair and attention to detail.
- Advanced command of Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and applicable AI platforms.
- Strong proficiency in typography, colour theory, and illustration, with a keen eye for photography and design aesthetics.
- Solid understanding of design principles, brand consistency and guidelines, and visual storytelling.
- Solid understanding of both print and digital production.
- Creative thinking, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities, with a passion for delivering great design solutions.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, working effectively with a diverse team.
- Experience managing multiple projects and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Prototyping, Motion, and technical design skills are a plus
